This composition is not a romantic piece, it is a satirical personal description of love. The flute illustrates simplicity and naivety when falling in love, ecstasy brought by this feeling being expressed through its trills. The frequent staccatos in the piece are marking the coaxing atmosphere of seduction games, and parallel fifths are used many times on purpose to draw the satirical feeling of falling in love with someone who actually makes fun of you.
